Children's Liturgy of the Word During Sunday morning Liturgies, children are invited to listen to the Word of God proclaimed especially for them. During this Liturgy of the Word, children ages three and up listen to the readings and Gospel from their own special book, called the Children's Lectionary. As a group they then discuss how God is talking to them through these readings. This ministry is ideal for those who enjoy working with younger children. The ministers leave the assembly with the children to a special place of gathering, reverently proclaim the Word, and lead the reflection. The children and ministers then rejoin the assembly at the offertory. The innocent voices of our children reveal God in a unique way. Many who serve in this ministry say they receive more from the children than they give. Ministers are scheduled in teams every 4-5 weeks. Help is always welcome and appreciated.
